Pre production:

 

As a group we all decided to go with my idea for the episode. At the beginning of the pre production I think we worked well as a group and were organised. This was because we all worked as a group to figure out what was happening in each scene. I think we all knew what we were doing and how this idea was going to work after discussing it fully. This made me feel ready and more comfortable wit this project taht I have been with past ones because we were all together to discuss everything and equally shared what each of us were going to do to prepare. We all picked one of the production paperwork to do which meant that it wasnt just a few of us doing it like it had been in the past.

As one of the props, I had researched missing person posters and copied them to creat one that could be used for our film.

 

However on the day of planning there was an argument that had broken out. This was caused by us becoming stressed when deciding when we should film. This made things difficult as we had finally decided that we will have to film everything on one day a week after everyone else in order to finish by the deadline. What made things difficult was that everyones work schedules were different and people were busy lot of the time during the week. Because our teachers were marking our last project we also lost days where we could have planned more. However, we were told that these days were when our teachers wanted us to film. However, Not everyone was free on these days due to work or football which caused even more stress. Due to thus argument, we lost some time we could have been preparing and discussing our idea as a group. However, we were able to group call to talk even more.

 

On this call we ran into another problem where some people decided that they didnt like one of the scenes. However, we decided that we werent going to change it as there had already been too much preparation made.

As a group we decided that as this is the last project before our FMP it would be fun if we were all in it. We had also decided to use locations that we have previously used as it would be easier for all 6 of us to meet there.

 

Production:

During the first day of filming we were able to get alot done. I think that we were more organised as a group than we had been previously. This was because everyone knew what we were filming and how. We didnt run into many problems that we couldnt figure out. I think we were able to capture a big variety of shots. I think alot of the manual focus shots that we tried were successful. We were able to use techniques we learnt in the first year of college. I think there were some parts where we all worked well as a group. For example in the flyer scene, we were all able to figure out what we wanted and what was happening in the scene

When filming we had people trun up late so this caused some set backs. We were able to get some things done without them but filming took longer. We had run into a few problems, however we were albe to fix them. When we went to start filming we realised that we didnt book out the green screen room. This was one of our setbacks because we were in college to film that one scene.
